Statutory Number and Caption Applicability

Once the Statutory Captions have been defined through Statutory and Other Caption Detail option, IMMS provides facility to specify the availability of each of them with a particular Company. This is because some Captions may or may not be required for a particular Company. Once the Captions have been associated with a particular Company, their individual values can be specified from their respective Master Entry options in various modules.

For example if a Caption named 'Central Sales Tax Number' for 'Vendor Master' has been associated with a particular Company and declared as 'Applicable', its actual number can be specified while creating a Vendor through Vendor Master option. Please refer the following table -

Field Description of Statutory Number and Caption Applicability

Company:

Denotes the Company for which the Statutory Captions have to be applicable.

Click on the field to access a list of already existing Companies defined through Company Master option. Select your desired Company from the list by clicking on it. Alternatively you can also enter the Company Code.

Caption For:

Denotes the Master belonging to which the Captions have to be associated.

Click on the field to open the drop down list. Select one of the following option from the given popup for which you want to associate the Captions and press <TAB>.

• Vendor Master
• Customer Master
• GRN
• Invoice
• Item Serial No Tracking

Caption Details

Next, a list of Caption Details belonging to the selected Master ('Caption For') defined through Statutory And Other Caption Detail option will be displayed in a grid as follows -

Field Description of the grid -

Caption Description:

Automatically displays the Caption Header as specified through Statutory And Other Caption Detail option for your information. It can NOT be changed.

 

Where To Display:

Automatically displays the value of 'Where to Display' for the Caption as specified through Statutory And Other Caption Detail option for your information. It can NOT be changed.

 

Applicable:

Denotes whether the specific Caption is applicable for the selected Company or not. If the Caption is applicable, it will be displayed while entering values for Statutory Captions while entering data through its respective master entry option. If not applicable, the Caption will not be displayed at all.

 

If the Captions are being associated for the first time, all of them will be ticked as Applicable by default. Otherwise the value of 'Applicable' field will be displayed automatically as saved earlier. You can change it as per requirement. To do so click on the field.

Now click on 'Save' button to save or 'Cancel' button to discard.
